Ivan Black explores the manipulation of form by means of his unique kinetic mechanisms. He allies movement to his fascination with geometry to create forms that mutate when in motion.
His sculptures have been realised on a variety of scales, from a few inches to several meters in length. Recent experiments in composite manufacturing have yielded a new range of sculptures, some early versions of which will be exhibited at the Kinetica Art Fair for the first time.
