Empress Stah Power
Empress Stah is an award-winning aerial artist, avant-garde cabaret performer and show producer. Famed for her provocative and controversial style of show, Stah has performed for Damien Hirst & Harvey Nichols, shared the bill with Dita Von Teese and Cirque Du Soleil, and made guest appearances at The Box in NYC, La Clique and The Brit Awards. As an artist working at the intersection of arts, culture and humanities in space exploration, Empress Stah experienced weightlessness aboard a parabolic flight in 2011. ‘Wish Upon a Star’ confronts weightlessness as live performance. Empress Stah’s solo show ‘Empress Stah in Space’ is to premier at Spill Festival in November 2012.
Multimedia artist Fernando Nemoto (VjNeMo) recently graduated as an MA in Digital Film and Animation from the London Metropolitan University and will be producing the audiovisual elements of Stah’s live performance.
