Studio Roosegaarde

In a world shifting between the analogue and the digital, Roosegaarde creates interactive artworks that explore the dynamic relation between space, people, and technology. As a laboratory for interactive projects, the studio develops its own technology and design and is internationally known for interactive artworks such as 'Dune' and the 'Sustainable Dance Floor'.

LIQUID SPACE is alive. It detects approaching viewers and rotates in their direction. When they stand under its bubble or 'head', its parts shift in shape and size and coloured light and sounds reward their bravery.

Inspired by the elegant, pliable form of the jellyfish, the three-legged structure is made up of a careful balance of springs, plastic tubes interwoven with LEDs, spotlights, speakers and sensors.
